This week was a pretty busy one for me but I managed to take many photos so I call that a success!
I started the week off with an interview and ended it with my first days in a new job! It was also my first week in London without Dan (him having disappeared off to New York for 6 weeks to be important and learn stuff…), so I’ve been attempting not to go crazy from loneliness. I’ve mostly done this by distracting myself with books and painting and a lot of TV because I’m just that cool. Here’s how I captured the week in photos:
Monday was a pretty great start to the week! I had my second interview for a digital marketing role at Peppersmith and it went pretty great because I got offered the job! Despite wanting to jump on it straight away and say yes, I figured I should do the responsible adult thing and discuss it with Dan first, of course he was happy for me so I accepted!
I went out to celebrate by treating myself to new make-up:
Also, lets just take a minute to talk about how awesome my twisty hairstyle was for my interview. I’ll never be able to get it this nice again. How did I manage it?!
Tuesday and Wednesday
Both days were fairly boring and uneventful. Mostly I was just sorting out boring house stuff; unpacking / cleaning / getting our broadband set up finally!
This week was great because we finally got a settee and a second bookcase, but the highlight was definitely being awake to see an awesome sunrise from out balcony!
Thursday was my first day working at Peppersmith and it was pretty great, I really did enjoy it! The evening was a bit of a lazy one after that but I did see a gorgeous sunset from the balcony – or rather what the sunset did to the sky. The colours and the clouds were so beautiful and I was feeling really inspired by it so I decided to paint for a while.
The end of the week and we went for lunch in the park at work which was a nice break – it was good to get out of the office for a while on such a nice day!
This weekend involved a little shopping, a trip to the library, lots of reading and a little more painting. Pretty much what I call the perfect weekend!
