I’ve been wanting to try water splash photography for a long time! I even ran a training session earlier this year where we set up a station for PhotoSoc members to try it and I got literally no photos myself (sad times).
So the other night I had a (very rushed) attempt at photographing some water.
It was literally the least professional set up ever. I used my 18-135mm lens with a macro filter stuffed on the front, a bowl of water and a shot glass to pour water from really needed a pipette but unfortunately they’re all in the PhotoSoc office), my on camera flash (eww because I am currently without flash gun) and a tripod.
However, despite the terrible set up and current lack of kit, I managed to get a few photos I was reasonably happy with. I definitely want to give it another go with a proper set up and better kit but for now, here are the results:
