Yesterday, me and my brother, Warren, went to the opening of the world’s largest Lego Store in Leicester Square. Despite having to wait outside in the cold for around 2 and a half hours it was actually pretty fun and it didn’t seem that long to be honest!
While waiting in the queue we were given adorable Lego stickers, a store map and Lego Passport.
I also got a free gingerbread cottage – how adorable is this!?
Inside The Store
Once we were inside it was pretty amazing. There’s a huge lego replica of Big Ben made of 344,030 bricks with a clock that actually works and chimes!
The amount of detail on it was incredible!
And it was surrounded by these adorable, cheeky characters:
And then of course there was Lester – the new store’s mascot!
The Lego replica of an underground train also features Shakespeare, a royal guard and the Queen herself! It’s adorable!
And of course this surprisingly detailed warning as you enter the lift 😉
Also downstairs you’ll find this lego replica tube map and conductor.
While upstairs you’re likely to bump into this British gentleman:
There’s also this adorable little postbox and phonebox, it all feels very English!
My favourite bit, however, is the gorgeous 3D mural of the London skyline that lights up and is so pretty!
Of course I couldn’t resist getting a few Lego goodies myself. As well as the Gingerbread cottage I was given, I also got a free Lego soldier and parrot:
And for two of my favourite boys I got these: A superhero set for Dan and a cute truck set for my nephew, Isaac, for Christmas.
And for myself, I treat myself to an adorable little lego mini-figure. So cute!
